One of the more interesting aspects of Expeditions is that players can use their draft decks twice, earning rewards based on whichever run was better. Rewards will always include at least one champion, with higher win rates earning Expedition tokens to draft again. Once the Expedition has finished, players earn rewards based on the number of wins the player has made. Once a player gets to the seventh match, it enters a sudden death mode, where one loss ends the Expedition. Off on an Expedition through Legends of RuneterraĪn Expeditions draft ends when the player either wins seven matches or loses two in a row. Cards that have already been drafted can be swapped out for other random cards. As players progress, the expedition deck can be upgraded through either new champions or trading. Wild picks can be from any archetype, allowing for decks to include up to three regions, something unique to the Expeditions mode. Synergy picks are still random but are based upon previously chosen archetypes. From there, the player must choose from three card options that fall under two pick types, synergy and wild. Each of the more than 20 archetypes in Legends of Runeterra has a color pair and champion associated with it. Players get to choose from three deck archetypes, such as Disruption, which focuses on stunning and recalling your opponents’ cards. In two weeks time, you will get LoR’s Patch 1.14 with another round of balance updates.Picking cards in Expeditions mode is a little different than in traditional draft formats. Let us know in the comments of what you think of these changes. Legends of Runeterra Patch 1.13 is releasing today, 28th October. The offering bonus for Monuments of Power archetypes decreased to half as much as before (still 50% more than normal). Otherwise, Riot is largely happy with the balance of archetypes across the board so they’re only making a few other light changes. Riot Games is starting off by giving the Bilgewater side of the archetype more ways to induce damage on your own units, removing many of the cards that were performing poorly across both regions, and increasing the chance you’ll see the archetype repeatedly while drafting it. With the release of Monuments of Power, Dragons have landed in a great spot, while Mending Touch debuted as one of the weakest archetypes to date. We’ll continue to monitor the region’s overall performance and make additional changes as needed. That said, Bilgewater’s strengths are resilient, with a wide array of effective options, and some Bilgewater decks may be able to replace Make it Rain (or simply still use it) while retaining most of their current strength. This change should bring Make it Rain more in line with other damage spells’ potential and weaken Bilgewater’s overall toolbox. Its many synergies with Barrels, Plunder, and Champion quests and skills have combined with high access through cards like Zap Sprayfin and Miss Fortune (her Champion spell) to make the card overly available, efficient, and effective. Make it Rain has played an outsized part in Bilgewater’s recent strength as a powerful tool for repeatedly punishing opposing unit development. Lee Sinįollowers & Spells Make It Rain / Miss Fortune’s Make It Rain The developers want to maintain Lee Sin’s usability, but at a fairer price point that keeps him from dominating early-round combat. While Riot’s changes to Lee Sin in Patch 1.10 made him much more playable and brought Ionia and Targon buff decks into the meta, his newfound efficiency has proven overbearing, particularly in combination with his deadly combo kill potential once granted Overwhelm.
